An international seminar titled "Global Halal Industry and Impact of COVID-19" was held in Dhaka recently as a joint collaboration with EXPOPRO, Bangladesh and the Institute of Halal Management (IHM), under the faculty of Islamic Business School (IBS), Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM).

This hybrid version of the seminar was participated in person by industrialists, businessmen, and other relevant stakeholders of Bangladesh and virtually from many other countries including university students from Malaysia over zoom, said a statement.

Senior Lecturer of IBS and Research Fellow of IHM, Dr. Md. Mahfujur Rahman presented the keynote paper in the seminar.

Founder and CEO of EXPOPRO, Md. Mamunur Rahman moderated the seminar, while Dr. Md. Mahbub Alam, Advisor, NATP-2, World Bank and Mr. Enamul Haque Patwary, Former Director of DCCI were present in the seminar as the discussants.
