Ten most-traded stocks captured about 30 per cent transactions of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Tuesday while IPDC Finance topped the turnover list.
Market operators said IPDC Finance dominated the turnover chart as investors showed their buying appetite on its shares amid high expectations despite most issues faced correction.
According to statistics available with the DSE, some 10 million shares of IPDC Finance were traded, generating a turnover of Tk 631 million, which was 8.0 per cent of the day's total turnover.
The company's share closed at Tk 63.20 on Tuesday, gaining 4.46 per cent over the previous day.
The company's share price also jumped around 20 per cent in the past two weeks since June 30.
The country's first private sector non-bank financial institution shares traded between Tk 28.40 and Tk 63.80 in the last one year.
IPDC Finance posted a 9.10 per cent growth in its earnings per share (EPS) for the first quarter for January-March 2022 compared to the same period of the previous year.
The company has reported EPS of Tk 0.60 for January-March 2022 as against Tk 0.55 for January-March 2021.
The company disbursed a 12 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2021. In 2020, the company also disbursed 12 per cent cash dividend.
Beximco came second on the turnover list, with shares worth Tk 514 million changing hands. The company's share price, however, fell 1.29 per cent to close at Tk 130.10 on Tuesday.
Fortune Shoes clinched the third spot, with shares worth Tk 356 million changing hands. The company's share closed at Tk 89.60, gaining 1.01 per cent.
Intraco Refueling Station emerged as fourth, with shares worth Tk 191 million changing hands. The company's share price fell 0.96 per cent to close at Tk 31.
Titas Gas notched the fifth spot, with shares worth Tk 131 million changing hands. The state-run entity's share closed at Tk 44.40, advancing 1.37 per cent over the previous session.
Fu-Wang Food featured a turnover of Tk 124 million. The company's share price dropped 0.75 per cent to close at Tk 26.30 on Tuesday.
The turnover of Saiham Textile was Tk 114 million. The company's share price jumped 7.63 per cent to close at Tk 25.40 each.
Golden Son featured a turnover of Tk 99 million. The company's share closed at Tk 19.10, soaring 9.77 per cent. It was also the day's top gainer.
The turnover of Queen South Textile was Tk 97 million. Its share closed at Tk 26.40, gaining 4.76 per cent over the previous day.
JMI Hospital Requisite Manufacturing also made its way to the day's top turnover chart, with shares worth Tk 91 million changing hands.
The company's share closed at Tk 79.90, losing 1.84 per cent.
