Ishaque made RHD chief engineer

Additional Chief Engineer and seniormost engineer of the Roads & Highways Department (RHD) Md Ishaque has been promoted to Chief Engineer of the department, says a statement.

The promotion was made following a directive by the Road Transport and Bridges Minister in accordance with a rule that the department's seniormost engineer will be elevated to the post of its chief engineer.

Outgoing Chief Engineer A K M Monir Hossain Pathan on Saturday afternoon handed over charges of the department to newly-promoted Chief Engineer (current charge) Md Ishaque at the the Chief Engineer's office room, the statement said.

After taking over the new charge, Mr Ishaque went to the Dhanmondi Road No. 32 in the city and paid respects to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
