ISO lead auditor training begins

The British Standards Institution has organised a five-day 'Lead Auditor Training Course on ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)', which began at a hotel in Dhaka on Monday.

The British Standards Institution has organised a five-day 'Lead Auditor Training Course on ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management Systems)', which began at a hotel in Dhaka on Monday.
This course is being held under the Standards Partnership Initiative, funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom, says a statement.
Director General (Grade-1) of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) S M Ferdous Alam was present as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
Mohammad Shohaieb, Director of the Standards Partnership Initiative of the British Standards Institution (BSI), was also present at the ceremony.
There are 21 participants in the training, mostly from BSTI, Department of Agricultural Extension, Bangladesh Agricultural Research Council, Public Works Department (PWD) and private sector organisations. The training is being conducted by Saibal Gupta and Syed Anwar Hossain.
