The country's IT professionals, entrepreneurs and freelancers will gather this month in a brainstorming conference intended to generate innovative ideas.
Bangladesh Internet Professionals' Community (BIPC), an internet based platform, will hold the daylong session on November 14, 2014 at Mohanagar Natto Mancha in the capital.
BIPC convener Abul Kashem Saturday told reporters that over 1000 IT professionals and workers are expected to participate at the daylong event.
He told the journalists that apart from the IT professionals, representative from the government, Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS) and oDesk will attend the gathering.
Mr Kashem said the conference will help the participants meet with the icon, brainstorming, raffle draw, networking, recognition of the sector contributors and etc.
"The conference will also help build a strong linkage among the professionals, policy makers and the online-based entrepreneurs in Bangladesh," the convener said, adding that around 0.7 million people are currently working in the country as IT professionals.
He noted that the internet professionals mostly maintain their network through social platforms like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter etc. and they hardly get the chance to meet with each other physically.
