Janata Bank gets new CFO

Md Nurul Alam joined the Janata Bank Limited as its chief financial officer (CFO) (DMD) recently, according to a statement.

Prior to his joining the bank, Mr. Alam was the additional director of Bangladesh Bank. He was involved in policymaking for the banking sector of the country during the Covid-19 pandemic. He received the 'Best Employee Award' of Bangladesh Bank in 2010.

Before working for the central bank, he had served as the general manager of Janata Bank.

A fellow member of ISAB (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh) and ICMABA (Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh), Mr. Alam did his honours and master's in accounting from Dhaka University.
