Janata Bank Ltd holds meeting on remittamce

Janata Bank Ltd Managing Director and CEO Md Abdus Salam Azad presiding over the special meeting of the bank at its head office in the city on Thursday

The state-owned Janata Bank Ltd at a meeting on Thursday gave instructions to discourage remittance of money through hundi, ensure best services to expatriates and serve them on a priority basis so that money is remitted home in the shortest possible time.
The bank's Managing Director and CEO Md Abdus Salam Azad presided over the meeting.
DMDs Md Abdul Jabbar, Sheikh Md Jaminur Rahman, Md Kamrul Ahsan and Md Nurul Alam were present among others.
New officers posted at the bank's branches in the UAE also joined the meeting virtually.
