Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin Akond FCMA has been elected President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) for the term 2020.
Mr. Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA and Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA were also elected as Vice-Presidents, Mr. Md. Munirul Islam FCMA as Secretary and Mr. Md. Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA as Treasurer of the Institute.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Md. Jasim Uddin Akond FCMA was elected Secretary of ICMAB for four terms. He served the Institute as Vice President and Treasurer in different terms. He was also the Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB. Presently he is the Comptroller of Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET). He was Head of Budget Division, Bangladesh Steel and Engineering Corporation (BSEC).
Mr. Abu Bakar Siddique FCMA, a senior Fellow Member of the Institute, has been serving as Executive Vice President & CFO, Kohinoor Chemical Co. (BD) Ltd and Group Reedisha. He served ICMAB in the past as Director. He was also the Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of the Institute.
Mr. Md. Mamunur Rashid FCMA is currently working as Deputy Managing Director at X-Index Companies. He is an Independent Director of West Zone Power Distribution Co. Ltd and Nitol Insurance Ltd. He served as the Executive Secretary of SAFA and as Associate Editor, "The Cost & Management" (Journal of ICMAB). Currently he has been serving as Vice President of Bangladesh Ceramics Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BCMEA) and the general body member of FBCCI.
Mr. Md. Munirul Islam FCMA is currently working as Head of Human Resources (HR), Aristopharma Limited. He was also the Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB. He served the Institute as Council member for several terms.
Mr. Md. Ali Haider Chowdhury FCMA has been serving as Managing Director of Aloha Bangladesh and Director & CEO- Unicom Group. He was also the Chairman of Dhaka Branch Council of ICMAB. He started his career with Nestlé Bangladesh and worked as Business Controller in Nestle India in 2003-2006.
