Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has visited the new plant of GPH Ispat (GPH steel) in Kumira under Sitakunda of Chattogram.
GPH Ispat Managing Director Mohammad Jahangir Alam, Additional Managing Director Mohammad Alamus Shimul and other high officials welcomed the home minister on his arrival at the plant.
Recalling his visit in the GPH Ispat industry area 15 years ago, Kamal said he noticed a phenomenal improvement there which is a wonderful sign of the economic development of Bangladesh. Looking at the GPH Ispat's new admin building and witnessing the steel construction engineering system, he said "It seems like a whole combination of world-class construction styles. GPH Ispat will play an important role in the construction of various physical infrastructures of Bangladesh."
Managing Director Jahangir Alam said that the GPH Ispat has introduced the world's best Quantum Arc Furnace technology. "We are very glade and proud to show it to the minister."
"This automated technology is fully capable of producing the highest quality, grade and high strength steel in Bangladesh," he added.
Additional Managing Director Almas Shimul said, "The support that the Prime Minister is giving to the industry is very inspirational for the private sector. As a result, the country's industrialists are becoming interested to set up new industries."
Ctg Range DIG Khon-dokhar Golam Faruk, CMP Commissioner Md. Mahabubar Rahman, ADC (Education and ICT) Abu Hassan Siddique were present.
