M-cap of top 7 Sensex cos declines by Rs 672.33b

NEW DELHI, June 15 (PTI): Dragged down by state-run ONGC, seven of the top 10 most valued Indian companies together lost Rs 672.33 billion in terms of market capitalisation last week.
Barring TCS, HDFC Bank and Infosys in the top 10 club, the rest seven, including the likes of RIL, ITC and Coal India, witnessed declines in their market valuation for the week ended last Friday.
Energy major ONGC's m-cap plunged Rs 355.48 billion to Rs 3614.27 billion, taking the steepest hit in the domestic market capitalisation (m-cap) chart.
The market value of RIL (Reliance Industries) declined by Rs 122.52 billion to Rs 3497.64 billion, while State Bank of India's m-cap dipped Rs 93.92 billion to Rs 1945.83 billion.
ICICI Bank's m-cap tumbled Rs 60.34 billion to Rs 1652.58 billion, while that of ITC fell by Rs 25.85 billion to Rs 2653.98 billion.
Similarly, CIL's value went down by Rs 12 billion to Rs 2457.70 billion and Larsen & Toubro lost Rs 2.23 billion to Rs 1563.89 billion.
