The rate of dividends recommended by some 32 listed companies for the year ended on December 31, 2014 has almost remained static over that of previous year.
According to information of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), some of the companies recommended both the cash dividend and bonus dividends.
The amount of the dividends recommended by the majority of 32 companies varied ranging between 5.0 per cent and 25 per cent.
Among the companies whose dividends are comparatively satisfactory, Aramit recommended 50 per cent cash whereas Renata recommended 80 per cent cash and 20 per cent bonus. Both the companies recommended same amount of dividends in previous year.
The companies whose dividends remained almost static in 2014, Rupali Bank recommended 15 per cent bonus, whereas Legacy Footwear recommended 5.0 per cent bonus, Wata Chemicals 5.0 per cent cash and 25 per cent bonus, Aramit Cement 10 per cent cash, Summit Power 10 per cent cash and 5.0 bonus and Safko Spinnings 10 per cent bonus.
Among other companies whose dividends also remained static in 2014, Premier Bank recommended 10 per cent bonus, whereas Intech Online 10 per cent bonus, Salvo Chemical Industry 10 per cent bonus, Monno Jute Stafflers 10 per cent, Orion Pharma 15 per cent cash, Purabi General Insurance 15 per cent bonus, CMC Kamal 12.50 per cent bonus and Islami Insurance Bangladesh 5 per cent cash and 10 per cent bonus.
Golden Son recommended 12.50 cash for the year 2014 against 25 per cent bonus issued in previous year.
Pragati Insurance issued 12.50 per cent cash and 5.0 per cent bonus for the year 2013 and the company's dividend declined to 10 per cent cash recommended for the year 2014.
Summit Purbanchol Power Company recommended 25 per cent cash for the year 2014 against 10 per cent cash and 10 per cent bonus issued in previous year.
Bay Leasing & Investment issued 17 per cent cash and 15 per cent bonus for the year 2013 and in 2014 the company's declined to 15 per cent cash.
GQ Ball Pen recommended 10 per cent cash for the year 2014 whereas the company issued 15 per cent bonus recommended for the year 2013.
Another company Ambee Pharma recommended 28 per cent cash for the year 2014 against 15 per cent cash and 20 per cent bonus recommended in previous year.
