Shamim Ahmed and Dr. Md. Nurul Islam have been promoted as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of Mercantile Bank Limited. Prior to the promotion, Shamim Ahmed was the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) & Head of International Division while Dr. Md. Nurul Islam was the Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the bank. Shamim Ahmed started his banking career with United Commercial Bank Limited in 1992 after completion of Honor's & Masters in Statistics from University of Dhaka. Dr. Md. Nurul Islam started banking career with National Bank Ltd in 1988.
