German carmaker Mercedes-Benz said on Monday its second-quarter unit sales of cars and vans fell 9 per cent, citing the impact of tariffs, reports Reuters.
Deliveries fell to 547,100 cars and vans in the April-June period, while sales of battery electric vehicles dropped even more sharply by 18 per cent, to 41,900 vehicles, the company said in a statement.
Second-quarter sales of Mercedes' Cars unit fell 9 per cent to 453,700 vehicles, with sales in North America dropping 14 per cent, while they slumped 19 per cent in China.
