MNCs see price correction

Most of the listed multinational companies (MNCs) witnessed price correction amid volatility this week.
Of the 12 listed MNCs, 10 companies saw their share prices decline between 0.4 per cent and 7.5 per cent on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).
On the other hand, share prices of only two companies -- Reckitt Benckiser (Bd.) and Linde Bangladesh -- advanced 6.6 per cent and 8.9 per cent respectively.
RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) posted the biggest loss of 7.5 per cent to close at Tk 45.70 each. The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 41.10 million on the DSE.
Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) logged a daily average turnover of Tk 18.10 million. The company's share price declined 4.70 per cent to close at Tk 929.70 each.
Singer Bangladesh featured a daily average turnover of 71.80 million and the company's share price closed at Tk 197.90 each on Thursday, shedding 3.30 per cent.
The share price of Berger Paints Bangladesh declined 1.1 per cent and closed at Tk 1841.10 each on Thursday. The company posted a daily average turnover of Tk 72.50 million on the premier bourse.
The share price of LafargeHolcim Bangladesh went down by 3.3 per cent to settle at Tk 76.80 each. The company registered a daily average turnover of Tk 378.10 million on the DSE.
Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh saw a daily average turnover of Tk 20.40 million. The company's share price declined 3.4 per cent.
The share price of Grameenphone declined 0.5 per cent to end at Tk 384.50 each on Thursday. The leading mobile operator featured a daily average turnover of Tk 123 million on the premier bourse.
Marico Bangladesh recorded a daily average turnover of Tk 38.10 million. Its share price declined 0.9 per cent and closed at Tk 2371.20 each.
The share price of Unilever Consumer Care closed at Tk 2953.90 each on Thursday with a loss of 1.20 per cent. The company featured a daily average turnover of Tk 20.10 million.
Reckitt Benckiser (Bd) posted a daily average turnover of Tk 54.10 million. The company's share price advanced 6.6 per cent and closed at Tk 4902 each on Thursday.
Linde Bangladesh featured a daily average turnover of Tk 198.70 million. During the week, the company's share price advanced 8.9 per cent to close at Tk 1639 each on Thursday.
