Mohammad Mamun Faruk promoted to DMD of MTB

Mohammad Mamun Faruk has been promoted to deputy managing director (DMD) at Mutual Trust Bank (MTB). In his new role, he will serve as the head of Wholesale Banking Division (WBD), according to a press statement.
Mohammad Mamun Faruk is a banking professional with over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry. He commenced his banking career as a probationary officer at the City Bank in December 1999 and joined MTB in 2010.
Throughout his career, Faruk has gained extensive experience in branch banking, trade operations, and relationship banking. He has spent the last 18 years in corporate banking, successfully leading business growth initiatives, managing key corporate relationships and driving strategic business development. Prior to his current role, Faruk served in various leadership positions within MTB's Wholesale Banking Division. He has played a significant role in strengthening the bank's corporate and wholesale banking franchise.
Faruk currently serves as the head of Wholesale Banking Division of Mutual Trust Bank, where he oversees the bank's wholesale banking business, corporate relationships, and strategic growth initiatives.
He holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka and an MBA with a major in Finance from North South University. He has also participated in numerous professional training programmes, seminars, and workshops both at home and abroad, further enhancing his expertise in banking, corporate finance, and financial management.
