Most MNC stocks edge down

Most of the listed multinational companies (MNCs) declined marginally amid price corrections witnessed by majority equities on Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week.

Of 395 issues traded, 265 stocks saw their prices go down while 68 others gained. As for MNCs, the share price of eight issues dropped ranging between 0.06 per cent and 4.52 per cent.

Of the listed MNCs which went through price corrections, Berger Paints Bangladesh fell by 1.01 per cent or Tk 18.30 last week, closing at Tk 1786.40 each on Thursday.

The share price of British American Tobacco Bangladesh Company (BATBC) closed at Tk 518.70 each on Thursday, down 0.06 per cent from the previous week's closing price.

RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) saw its stock price drop 1.65 per cent or Tk 0.8 last week to close at Tk 47.50 each on Thursday.

The share price of Singer Bangladesh closed at Tk 153.70 each on Thursday, down 0.77 per cent from the closing price of the previous week.

Heidelberg Cement Bangladesh slumped 4.52 per cent or Tk 8.70 last week and settled at Tk 183.70 each on Thursday.

The share price of Grameenphone closed at Tk 287 each on Thursday, down 1.03 per cent or Tk 3.0 from the closing price of the previous week.

On Thursday, the share price of Marico Bangladesh closed at Tk 2471.20 each with a loss of 0.63 per cent or Tk 15.70.

The share price of Unilever Consumer Care ended at Tk 2918.80 each on Thursday, 1.03 per cent or Tk 30.60 down from the closing price of the previous week.

However, Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) and LafargeHolcim Bangladesh advanced marginally on the DSE.

The share price of Bata Shoe Company (Bangladesh) closed at Tk 989.60 each on Thursday, up 0.86 per cent or Tk 8.50 from the previous week.

LafargeHolcim Bangladesh advanced 4.94 per cent or Tk 3.90 during the last week and finished at Tk 82.80 on Thursday.
