Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) recently co-hosted an event on 'Fostering Climate Finance Partnership in Bangladesh' with the Global Climate Partnership Fund (GCPF) at a city hotel. The event featured a panel discussion titled 'Opportunities and Challenges in the Bangladesh Climate Finance Landscape', moderated by Sathish Dhanapal of responsAbility Investments AG. Mutual Trust Bank's CEO Syed Mahbubur Rahman was also present. As the 2023 Global Climate Partnership Award winner, MTB used the event to introduce its innovative new product designed to bridge the gap between smallholder farmers in Bangladesh and affordable electric vehicle (EV) solutions, thereby promoting accessible financing. The panel discussion covered a broad range of climate finance topics and the role of regulatory intervention.
