MTB condoles expiry of Saifuddin

The Board of Directors and all staff of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) and its subsidiaries-MTB Securities Ltd., MTB Capital Ltd., and MTB Exchange (UK) Ltd expressed condolence at the passing away of Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury, MTB Sponsor Director, and father of MTB Chairman Rashed A Chowdhury.

Mr Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury expired Tuesday at United Hospital in the city at the age of 95, said a statement.

Mr Saifuddin Ahmed Chowdhury was the Founding Chairman of Associated Builders Ltd. (ABC). He was extremely well-respected and liked by all who met and worked with him. The Board of Directors of the bank and its subsidiaries and all their staff, offer sincere condolences to his children Dr. Rehana Sayeed, Ruksana Chowdhury, Rashed Ahmed Chowdhury, Gazala Chowdhury, their respective spouses, grandchildren, all ABC Group members and all his well-wishers and former colleagues on various trade associations, chambers and civic bodies.  

His first Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Gulshan Central Mosque Wednesday and his mortal remains will be taken today  (Thursday) to his home in Birchini, Feni for burial at his family graveyard, alongside his late wife.
