MTB Foundation comes to the aid of visually impaired girls

Khandaker Jahurul Alam, Executive Director, Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID), and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation, signed an agreement on a project titled 'Barrier-Free Education and Employment for Students with Visual Impairment' in presence of Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB), at the bank's Corporate Head Office in Dhaka recently.
MTB Foundation recently signed an agreement with the Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID) for a project titled 'Barrier-Free Education and Employment for Students with Visual Impairment', says a statement.
Under the agreement, MTB Foundation will facilitate inclusion of the visually impaired girls and women in the education and employment sectors with a view to making them self-sufficient and independent.
MTB Foundation, through this project, intends to help attain Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 1 (no poverty), SDG 2 (zero hunger), SDG 4 (quality education), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work & economic growth) and SDG 10 (reduced inequalities).
The agreement was signed by Khandaker Jahurul Alam, Executive Director, Centre for Services and Information on Disability (CSID), and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation, in presence of Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO, Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director & CAMLCO and Shafayat Ullah, Head of Group Legal Affairs Division of Mutual Trust Bank Ltd. (MTB) at a simple ceremony held at the bank's Corporate Head Office at Gulshan in Dhaka.
Iftekhar Ahmed, Director, Akram Hossain, Senior Program Manager, and Md Akter Hossen, Program Manager from CSID, and Neherin Maqsood, Associate Manager, MTB Foundation, were also present.
