MTB TREE PLANTATION INITIATIVE GUIDED BY DONATIONS
As part of its week-long World Environment Day 2025 celebration, Mutual Trust Bank (MTB) rolled out a tree plantation initiave, scale of which is determined by an employee-driven donation campaign titled "Old Stuff, New Life - Adopt a Tree." On June 2-3, staff across MTB donated gently used clothes, books, toys and electronics. For every item received, the bank pledged to plant a mangrove sapling in a designated coastal area of Bangladesh. The plantation of each tree will be dedicated to the donors. MTB collaborated with Lal Sabuj Society (LSS), a youth led non profit, to deliver the donated goods to communities in need. The initiative was undertaken with the Bangladesh Environment and Development.
