National Bank AGM approves 10pc dividend

National Bank Limited held its 22nd EGM & 37th AGM on Monday on a virtual platform. Zainul Haque Sikder, Sponsor Director and Chairman of National Bank Limited, presided over the meeting.
National Bank Limited held its 22nd EGM & 37th AGM on Monday on a virtual platform. Zainul Haque Sikder, Sponsor Director and Chairman of National Bank Limited, presided over the meeting, said a statement.
In the AGM 5.0 per cent stock dividend and 5.0 per cent cash dividend were approved for the year ended on the 31st December, 2019.
The other directors of the bank Monowara Sikder, Director & EC Chairperson Parveen Haque Sikder (MP), Alhaj Khalilur Rahman, Moazzam Hossain, Rick Haque Sikder and Mabroor Hossain, Independent Director Md. Naimuzzaman Bhuiyan Mukta, Managing Director (CC) and Company Secretary of the bank ASM Bulbul and DMDs of the bank were present in the meeting along with around 400 shareholders.
In the EGM, the authorised capital of the bank was raised to Tk 50.00 billion from Tk 30.00 billion.
The AGM began at 11:30 am on the virtual platform. In his inaugural speech the Chairman called for result-oriented efforts and dynamic activities from the executives, officers and staffs of the bank so that the bank may have a significant growth in the upcoming days. He also expressed his firm determination to allow more dividends in future. Chairman of the bank put an end to the AGM thanking all the participants for joining the virtual platform.
