Managing Director & CEO of National Bank Md Mehmood Husain along with other high officials poses with the dummy Multi-Currency Debit Card at its launching ceremony at the bank's head office on Tuesday National Bank Limited launched its first-ever Visa-branded, EMV Chip-enabled Multi-Currency Debit Card with NFC (Near Field Communication) technology under Q-Cash Network at an event at its Head Office in Dhaka on Tuesday, says a statement.
This Debit Card can be used both locally and internationally. The cardholders can use the card to make both local and international POS, E-commerce and ATM cash withdrawal transactions provided that the cardholder has endorsed against his or her passport as per the central bank's rules and subject to have sufficient balance in NBL-linked savings or current accounts.
Managing Director & CEO of the bank Md Mehmood Husain was present at the event as the chief guest.
Mr Mehmood said, "NBL is committed to providing outstanding banking services to its large number of customers to meet their demands and expectations. The launch of Multi-Currency Debit Card translates our ongoing aim to design and introduce distinctive tailor-made products that meet the customers' expectations."
