Nazia Kabir, an advocate at the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, and partner at legal advisory firm 'Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates' recently joined the board of directors of Prime Bank as its first female independent director, according to a press release.
Nazia Kabir holds a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln's Inn Society in the United Kingdom, an LLB (Honors) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Master's degree in International Trade Law from Brunel University, and a postgraduate diploma from City University. She is also a member of both the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and the Dhaka Bar Association.
With over two decades of experience, Nazia Kabir has been providing legal counsel on various matters, including company and banking law; project financing and public-private partnerships; mergers and acquisitions; and mediation and arbitration proceedings.
