Md Nazrul Islam Swapan, a prominent businessman and industrialist, was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EXIM Bank at the 174th Emergent Board Meeting of the bank held on Friday, says a press release.
Earlier, he served as a member of the board of directors of the same bank with honesty and integrity.
Mr Islam obtained his bachelor's and master's degrees in social science from Chittagong University. He has 44 years of experience in the readymade garments sector.
Currently, Mr Islam is the Chairman and Managing Director of Tivoli Apparels Limited and Galaxy Stitch Limited. He has been a CIP holder since 2000.
He also has extensive expertise in real estate and aviation sectors.
