Nestlé Bangladesh PLC has officially launched its export operations to Sri Lanka, introducing the home-grown Nestlé CEREGROW, a nutritious junior cereal with milk, produced in Nestlé Bangladesh's only factory located in Sreepur, Gazipur, says a press statement.
The milestone was marked by a ceremonial event attended by High Commissioner of Sri Lanka Dharmapala Weerakkody, who underscored the strong alliance between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh in fostering regional trade and enhancing livelihoods.
Deepal Abeywickrema, Chairman & Managing Director of Nestlé Bangladesh, stated, "Nestlé Bangladesh PLC proudly upholds the legacy of over 155 years of the Nestlé Group by delivering top-quality products to consumers while seizing every opportunity for international expansion."
"We are actively exploring additional opportunities to expand our product exports," he added.
During the inaugural event, Najith Meewanage, the President of the Sri Lanka Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SLBCCI), was present alongside Nestlé officials.
