Mazeda Khatun, chief executive officer (CEO) at ICB Capital Management, has been elected the president of Bangladesh Merchant Bankers Association (BMBA) and Muhammad Nazrul Islam, CEO at Sandhani Life Finance, elected its secretary general.
Chief Election Commissioner MA Hafiz announced the names of the executive committee members elected for 2024-25, says a press release on Saturday.
Md. Riyad Matin, managing director of BMSL Investment, and Mohammad Obaydur Rahman, director of AAA Finance & investment, have been elected the first vice president and the second vice president respectively while Mohammad Abdur Rahim, CEO at lslami Bank Capital Management, has been elected the treasurer of the new committee.
The elected members of the executive committee are Mahbub H Mazumdar, Mir Mahfuz Ur Rahman, Asad Murshed Bin Sher Ali, lftekhar Alam, Sumit Podder and Khaied Sailullah.
Immediate past president of the association Md. Sayadur Rahman has handed over the charge to newly elected president Mrs. Khatun.
