New MD of Reliance Insurance

Mr. Md. Khaled Mamun has been appointed as the new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Insurance Limited with effect from March 19, 2014 following retirement of Mr. Akhtar Ahmed as MD & CEO, said a press release.

Prior to his new appointment he was holding the position of Deputy Managing Director. Mr. Mamun started his professional career in Sadharan Bima Corporation (SBC) in 1994 and held various important positions before leaving SBC to join Reliance Insurance Limited in June 2005. Until his elevation to the position of MD & CEO , Mr. Mamun made valuable contributions to the company in the capacity of DMD, Executive Director, Deputy Executive Director, Senior Executive Vice President, Executive Vice President & Head of Marketing & Underwriting Divisions.
