MTB approves 11pc stock div
The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) was held on Sunday at Golf Garden, Army Golf Club, Dhaka. MTB Chairman Md. Hedayetullah, presided over the meeting. MTB Vice Chairman, Khwaja Nargis Hossain, Directors, Syed Manzur Elahi, Dr. Arif Dowla, Md. Wakiluddin, Md. Manirul Islam, Anika Chowdhury, Herbert Jaeger Independent Director, Nasreen Sattar, Managing Director & CEO Anis A. Khan and a large number of shareholders also attended the meeting. In 2018, MTB earned a consolidated net profit after tax of BDT 1,734 million. Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at BDT 3.03. The bank's balance-sheet footing increased by 10 per cent, as at the end of 2018, compared to the previous year. Deposits grew by 9 per cent, Loans and Advances rose by 14 per cent. The Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) stood at 12.86 per cent. MTB has also expanded its network to 114 branches, 283 ATMs with 2 Cash Recycler Booths, 14 Kiosks, 106 Agent Banking Centres, 3,305 Point of Sale (POS) devices including SMS, Internet Banking and 24/7 Contact Centre and 3 Airport Lounges. — Statement

Vice Chairmen of NRB Bank re-elected
Mr. Tateyama Kabir and Mr. Kamal Ahmed have been re-elected Vice Chairmen of NRB Bank Limited recently. Mr. Tateyama Kabir is President of Kabir Auto Export Co. Ltd. and a dual citizen of Bangladesh and Japan. He is also the Managing Director of Sumday Development Company Ltd. and the Proprietor of Ocean Auto and KM International. On the other hand, Mr. Kamal Ahmed is the Deputy Managing Director of Seamark plc in the UK, IBCO Limited (UK), IBCO Enterprise (UK), Seamark (BD) Ltd and IBCO Food Industries in Bangladesh, Seamark (Holdings) Ltd, ManRu Shopping City in Bangladesh and Seamark USA Inc in the USA.
