opens new branch at Nawabganj
Mercantile Bank Limited opened its 130th branch at Nawabganj in Dhaka on Thursday. AKM Shaheed Reza, chairman of the bank, inaugurated the branch office by cutting a ribbon as the chief guest. The bank's Managing Director & CEO Kazi Masihur Rahman delivered the welcome speech at the opening ceremony. Bank's director Mosharrof Hossain was also present as special guest. The new branch is located at Sajeda Complex, Kashimpur, Kolakopa, Nawabganj. Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Tofazzol Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Nawabganj Thana Mostafa Kamal and Chairman of Kolakopa Union Md Ibrahim Khalil also attended the event.

The United Commercial Bank (UCB) opened its 187th branch in Kashinathpur, Pabna, on Thursday. Managing Director of UCB Mohammed Shawkat Jamil inaugurated the branch as the chief guest. signs deal with
Hotel Star Pacific
Modhumoti Bank Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Hotel Star Pacific of Sylhet at the bank's head office in the city recently. Md Shaheen Howlader, SEVP and Head of SME & Retail Banking Division of the bank, and Saif Islam Dali, Deputy General Manager of Hotel Star Pacific, signed the agreement on behalf of the respective organisations. Under the agreement, Modhumoti credit and debit cardholders and employees of the bank will get up to 50 per cent discount on the hotel room rates.
