NAV of CAPM Unit Fund

The CAPM Company Limited has declared the net asset value (NAV) of CAPM Unit Fund. The total NAV of CAPM Unit Fund stood at Tk 131,433,447.31 on the basis of cost price and Tk 148,901,861.77 on the basis of market price at the close of the operations on January 13. The NAV per unit at cost price and market price of the fund are Tk 115.41 and Tk 130.75 respectively against the face value of Tk 100 per unit. Per unit subscription and surrender prices of the CAPM Unit Fund have been re-fixed at Tk 130.75 and Tk 130.35 respectively. The prices will remain valid until announcement of the next NAV. — Statement

NAV of CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund

CAPM Company Limited has declared the Net Asset Value (NAV) of CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund. The total NAV of CAPM IBBL Islamic Mutual Fund stood at Tk 716,271,946.71 on the basis of cost price and Tk 851,771,822.82 on the basis of market price at the close of the operations on January 13. The NAV per unit at cost price and market price of the fund are Tk 10.71 and Tk 12.74 respectively against the face value of Tk 10 per unit. — Statement

Hero Motocorp to invest over $56m in EV start-up

Indian two-wheeler vehicle maker Hero Motocorp Ltd said on Friday it would invest up to 4.20 billion rupees ($56.66 million) in electric vehicle (EV) start-up Ather Energy as it looks to expand its presence in the green mobility space. The company, which held 34.8 per cent in Ather Energy prior to the investment, said its new stake in the startup would be determined after Ather's funding round completes. Hero, which is set to unveil its first EV in March, said in a regulatory filing it was also exploring collaboration with Ather Energy on electric-charging infrastructure and technology. — Reuters

Dogecoin jumps 9pc

The price of dogecoin jumped more than 15 per cent on Friday before paring gains after Tesla began accepting the cryptocurrency as payment for some merchandise. Early Friday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said on Twitter that the electric carmaker's merchandise can be purchased with dogecoin. Dogecoin topped $0.20 a coin at around 01:19 ET before paring some of those gains, according to Coindesk data. It was up more than 9 per cent at $0.18 at 07:06 ET. Only a small number of items were buyable with the cryptocurrency, which originally started life as a joke coin. A whistle shaped like Tesla's Cybertruck costs 300 doge, which is equivalent to about $59 at the time of writing. A commemorative belt buckle to celebrate Tesla's Gigafactory in Texas was going for 835 doge, or about $164. — CNBC
