Beximco Pharma gets US FDA nod for antiarrythmic drug Flecainide

Beximco Pharmaceuticals Limited, the fast-growing manufacturer of generic pharmaceutical products and active pharmaceutical ingredients, on Monday announced that it received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for Flecainide Acetate (50, 100 and 150 mg tablets), an antiarrythmic drug used for treating irregular heartbeats in conditions such as tachycardia and atrial fibrillation. This is Beximco Pharma's eighth Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) successfully approved for the US market since the Company's oral solid dosage facility was approved by the US FDA in June 2015.

LafargeHolcim signs Net Zero Pledge with Science-Based Targets

LafargeHolcim joins the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) "Business Ambition for 1.5°C," becoming the first global building materials company to sign the pledge with intermediate targets for 2030, validated by SBTi. This commitment builds on LafargeHolcim's leadership in green construction with cutting-edge solutions such as ECOPact, its green concrete, and Susteno, its leading circular cement. In its 2030 goals, LafargeHolcim is further lowering its target for CO2 intensity in cement to 475kg net CO2 per ton of cementitious material (net CO2/t.cem.).

YPF launches governance apprenticeship programme

Youth Policy Forum (YPF) launched a flagship programme titled "YPF Governance Apprenticeship" recently with a motif "Empowering youth in statecraft for a Bangladesh better Governed". A team of young researchers will be recruited from YPF's expansive policy networks and appointed as apprentices for politicians under the programme designed to create a collaborative exchange of knowledge between youths and incumbent policymakers.
