ULAB Business Club arranges industrial tour

ULAB Business Club organised an Industrial Tour to Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Ltd. at Tongi BSCIC Commercial Area recently. Students visited the assembly point, home and fashion dying sections, marketing building, mechanical workshop and stitching building of the factory to learn about how the operations run and gather knowledge from it. The factory have the biggest-ever Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) which processes the chemical mixed waste water to environment friendly and clean, so that the water doesn't harm the environment after disposal. Demonstration was given to the visitors on how this process works. The half-day industrial visit was accommodated by a team of 40 University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) students where club advisor Asst. Professor Mr. Niaz Morshed Patwary was also present. — Statement

Bank Asia celebrates 19th anniversary

Bank Asia Ltd celebrated the occasion of its 19th anniversary at the Bank's Corporate Office at Purana Paltan, Dhaka on Tuesday. All the 127 branches of the Bank, along with 5 Islamic windows and its subsidiaries in Bangladesh and overseas observed the anniversary in a befitting manner. Mr. A Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of Bank Asia Ltd inaugurated the occasion by cutting a cake in the gathering of the board of directors, management committee and employees. Executive Vice-Chairperson of Rangs Group, Zakia Rouf Chowdhury, the two Vice-Chairmen of the Bank, Mohd. Safwan Choudhury & Md. Nazrul Huda, Chairman of the EC were present. — Statement
