Nurul Alam appointed country coordinator of CGIA Network

M Nurul Alam FCS, CCEP-I, CGIA has been appointed as the Country Coordinator of CGIA Network Bangladesh. CGIA Network Bangladesh is basically the Bangladesh Chapter of The Chartered Global Investment Analyst (CGIA) Institute, USA, said a statement.

The CGIA Charter designation is a gateway to a global network of finance and investment professionals. The Chartered Global Investment Analyst is the recognized professional designation, approved for Securities, Investment Banking, Wealth Management, Accounting, Statistics, Insurance, Financial Planning, Economics, Investment, Stock Brokering, Financial Management, Business Management, Actuarial Science professionals.

Currently M Nurul Alam is working as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Company Secretary of Prime Islami Life Insurance Limited. He is also the Secretary General of The Institute of Internal Auditors, Bangladesh (IIA, B) and a Council Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB).

Nurul Alam, who has almost 40 years of experience in corporate world, started his career after graduating from the Accounting Department of Chittagong University. Prior to joining as Deputy Managing Director and Company Secretary of Prime Islami Life Insurance, he served as Chief Compliance Officer of Banglalink Digital Communications Limited and Company Secretary of GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh for a long time.
