WiMAX licence holder company -Ollo- got full freedom to use 800 MHz spectrum as a result of High Court verdict, said a statement of the company Wednesday.

Ollo known as ISP (Internet Service Provider) operator with around 30 thousand users had faced legal complexity by its some rivals regarding the spectrum use in nearly two years ago, sources said.

"The High Court fully confirmed legality and correctness of allocation of frequencies in 800 MHz spectrum by BTRC to one of the leading ISP operators, New Generation Graphics Limited (NGGL) brand name Ollo," said the statement.

Regarding the issue, managing director of the Russia-based company VasiliiToropin, said, "We had no doubts that everything that we are doing in Bangladesh is legal from all sides."

As foreign investors we are very careful with our plans and the steps we undertake and, therefore, analyse all rules and regulations very attentively, he added.

Being one of the pioneers in the 4G world, he mentioned that "we are definitely excited to be able to offer 4G technology to Bangladeshi in rural areas."

The company has started planning the full roll-out of the network using 800 MHz frequencies to go to rural areas for A2I (Access to Information) purposes.
