Borhan Uddin Dewan Nurul
The Board of Directors of Padma Islami Life Insurance Ltd. in its 156th meeting held on Sunday elected Professor N R M Borhan Uddin, Ph.D as Chairman and Mr. Dewan Nurul Islam, FCA as Vice-Chairman of the Company for the next term.
Mr. Borhan Uddin, Ph.D. Former Vice Chancellor of City University, obtained his Ph.D. from Stevens Technology, New Jersy and received his MBA & MS from University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA and BSU, Indiana, USA, respectively.
Dewan Nurul Islam is the President of the lnstitute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB), said a statement.
He did his MBA in finance with distinction from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. He served as a Director of the Board of Jamuna Oil Company Limited and state owned Bangladesh Development Bank Limited (BDBL), where he was Chairman of Audit Committee and the Chairman of the Board.
