Parliamentary Standing Committee meeting on Textiles and Jute Ministry held

The first meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Textiles and Jute of the 12th National Parliament was held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Wednesday. Chairman of the committee Golam Dastgir Gazi, MP presided over the meeting while members Textiles and Jute Minister Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Anwarul Ashraf Khan, Abdul Mammin Mandal, Mohammad Wakiluddin, Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, Mohd Naser Shahriar Zahedi and Masuda Siddique attended it. The committee recommended that the ministry relax Public Private Partnership (PPP) conditions required to re-opening the closed BTMC mills and set up a vocational training institute in textile zone area.
