FE Report
The share trading of Pharma Aids Limited will resume from tomorrow (Sunday) after three months halt, as Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has withdrawn suspension on the company's trading, DSE officials said.
"Dhaka Stock Exchange board at a meeting Thursday decided to withdraw the trading suspension on Pharma Aids. So, there is no bar on starting normal trading of the company from Sunday," said a DSE official.
DSE suspended share trading of Pharma Aids for an indefinite period on February 5, as the firm barred the bourse officials from inspecting the factory. DSE also served notice on the company, seeking an explanation as to why it did so.
An abnormal price hike of the shares of Pharma Aids prompted the bourse management to inspect its factory.
But, Pharma Aids authority did not allow DSE officials to conduct the inspection. Subsequently, the bourse suspended share trading of the company for an indefinite period.
"Pharma Aids and DSE authorities have resolved the problem, and DSE board has decided to resume its trading from Sunday, considering investors' interest," a DSE official said.
Pharma Aids is an 'A' category company that was listed in the prime bourse in 1987. The closing price of each share of the company was Tk 181.3 as on February 5.
