CEO of Pragati Life Insurance Limited Md. Jalalul Azim and Country Director of CARE Bangladesh Zia Choudhury exchanging documents after signing an agreement on behalf of their respective organisations at CARE Bangladesh headquarters in the city recently Pragati Life Insurance Limited and CARE Bangladesh signed an agreement to jointly introduce a micro life and health insurance for the rural households, according to a statement.
The agreement was signed by Md. Jalalul Azim, CEO of Pragati Life Insurance Limited, and Zia Choudhury, Country Director of CARE Bangladesh, in a ceremony at CARE Bangladesh headquarters recently.
Through this agreement Pragati Life Insurance will provide group insurance coverage through a micro-insurance pilot project under the Alternative Distribution Channel (ADC) initiatives, for the households involved with the Shomoshti Project of CARE Bangladesh spread in 43 unions of 10 districts in four divisions of the country i.e. Sylhet, Rangpur, Rajshahi and Khulna.
S. M. Ziaul Hoque, General Manager, Operations & Head of ADC of Pragati Life Insurance and Anowarul Haq, Director ERPP& Md. Gias Uddin Talukder, Senior Team Leader of CARE Bangladesh were present at the signing ceremony.
