Project implementation concept workshop held

A two day-long event on "Project Implementation Concept Workshop for Stakeholders", arranged by Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakka (RAJUK) began on Saturday.

Panelists from Ministries, IEB, World Bank, RAJUK and other relevant stakeholders are joining the workshop.

National Professor Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

Mr. Md. Shahid Ulla Khandaker, Secretary - Ministry of housing & Public Works, Mr. Md. Shah Kamal, Secretary - Ministry of Disaster Management & Relief, Prof. Dr. M. Shamim Z Bosunia, former president - Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Ms. Swarna Kazi, Senior Disaster Risk Management Specialist, The Work Bank were present as the special guests in the event.

The Chairman of RAJUK Md. Abdur Rahman chaired.

Project implementation concepts to create & operationalizing the Urban Resilience Unit (URU) and RAJUK, building code implementation & enforcement strategy for URU, vulnerability assessment & prioritized investment plan for assets in Dhaka for URU, Development of Risk Sensitive Land Use Planning Practice within Dhaka city, assessing the current state and deploying a web-based Integrated Information Management System for the construction of permit system of RAJUK and design and supervision of URU Building including Research, Training, and Testing Laboratory Facilities under RAJUK in Dhaka, Bangladesh are the core themes of the event.
