Rafiqul Islam joins as Additional DG at BWDB

Engineer Md Rafiqul Islam Choube took over as the Additional Director General (West Region) at the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) on February 11, says a statement.

Prior to his new assignment, he served as the chief engineer (civil), Monitoring.

Mr Rafiqul joined the BWDB as an assistant engineer (civil) in 1993. He did his BSc in civil engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1991. During his 31-year career, Mr Rafiqul took part in various seminars and trainings abroad.

Mr Rafiqul, who hails from Pabna district, is a life member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and a member of BUET Graduate Club, Dhaka.
