CHATTOGRAM, Jan 22: Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) senior vice-president Tarafdar Ruhul Amin has been elected as chairman of the Port and Shipping Standing Committee of the Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
He will serve the committee in his capacity as its chairman for the 2023-25 term.
Mr Amin is the managing director of Saif Powertech Ltd, which has been playing a leading role in the country's port and shipping sector for more than a decade now.
He is the owner of E Engineering Ltd, Saif Plastic and Polymer Industries Ltd, Saif Port Holdings Ltd, Saif Electrical Manufacturing Ltd, Maxon Power Ltd, Saif Global Sports Ltd, BBlue Line Communications Ltd.
Mr Amin is popular as a sports organiser and patron.
