\\\'Run for Changing Diabetes\\\'

Novo Nordisk Bangladesh arranged an awareness rally titled “Run for Changing Diabetes” Friday in the city to mark World Diabetes Day. Around 500 participants including the employees of Novo Nordisk, their family & friends joined hands together to run the race. Prof. A K Azad Khan, President, Bangladesh Diabetes Association (BADAS), inaugurated the rally. In his statement he said “Diabetes in urban area is increasing day by day in our country and we have to create a mass awareness that diabetes can be prevented. Better control over diabetes can lead a healthy and better life.” Mr. Benazir Ahmed BPM (bar), Police Commissioner also attended the event to aware people against the deadly disease; he said “We should work as a team to encourage urban people to be involved in regular physical activity for improving their future life so that they can reduce diabetes prevalence in cities.”The race started from “Shahbag More” and ended up at “National Press Club”, said a statement.
