SAFA appoints new president

ASM Nayeem FCA has been appointed as the President of South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) for the year 2017 with effect from Sunday. He was the Vice-President of SAFA in 2016. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosts SAFA Permanent Secretariat in New Delhi. Mr. Nayeem is the past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and also a council member of the Institute since 1998.  Presently, he is a partner of ACNABIN Chartered Accountants (an Independent member firm of Baker Tilly International). Also, Suvod Kumar Karn FCA, past president of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) has been appointed as Vice-President of SAFA for the year 2017 while Mahbub Ahmed Siddique FCA, Director (Technical) of ICAB, was appointed as the Executive Secretary of SAFA for the year 2017.
