SAFE AGM today

South Asian Investment Conference (SAIC) will be held in Colombo on 27 April with a view to promote investments in South Asian stock markets, said the officials of the Chittagong Stock Exchange.
The annual general meeting (AGM) of South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE) will also be held in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka, today (26 April).
Colombo Stock Exchange is hosting the SAIC in collaboration with the SAFE.
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Mazid, chairman of the SAFE, left Dhaka Saturday for Colombo to attend the SAFE AGM and SAIC. The CSE officials said the SAIC will also focus on improvement of cross-border capital market linkages, favorable environment for cross border listing and the harmonisation of regional regulations and standards.
After the conference, a high level delegation from Financial Affairs Office of Yunnan Government will visit Bangladesh with the CSE Chairman on 28 April.
The delegation is likely to meet the regulatory bodies of Bangladesh to discuss the establishment of a regional stock exchange.
