Md Sahidul Islam has become the additional chief engineer of LGED Barishal division, says a press release.
Prior to his new assignment, Mr. Islam had been serving as the superintendent engineer at the Quality Control Unit at LGED Headquarters.
He was given the new responsibility on October 22.
During his long career at the LGED, Mr Islam served as upazila engineer, executive engineer at the district level and project director.
