Saif Powertec, a listed company on the stock markets, Monday signed a contract with Chittagong Port Authority (CPA) for three years period.
Under the agreement, the company will appoint a contractor for supply and booking for cargo handling, container stuffing/un-stuffing, container yard cleaning and garbage removal at inland container depot (ICD) Kamalapur in Dhaka for the period of three years, according to a statement posted on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) website on Tuesday.
The value of the contract price is Tk 146.42 million, said the statement.
Saif Powertec, a services & real estate sector company was listed on the DSE in September 2014. The company belongs to the category of 'A'.
Saif Powertec floated 12 million ordinary shares at an offer price of Tk 30, including a premium of Tk 20 for each ten taka share and raised a fund worth Tk 360 million.
The company witnessed a 134 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated earnings in first quarter (Q1) in the July-September, 2015.
As per un-audited Q1 earnings declaration, consolidated EPS for July-September, 2015 was Tk 1.38 as against Tk 0.59 for July-September, 2014.
The sponsor/directors own 43.33 per cent stake in Saif Powertec while institutional investors 16.92 per cent and general public 39.75 per cent.
The company's paid-up capital is Tk 915.7 million and authorized capital is Tk 5,000 million while the total number of securities is 91,571,140.
The board of directors of the company disbursed 29 per cent stock dividend for the year ended on 30 June, 2015. In 2014, the company disbursed 27 per cent stock dividend.
The company's share closed at Tk 69.5 on Tuesday, losing 0.14 per cent over the previous day's close price.
Saif Powertec sales and provides service of construction material handling and power generation equipment in Bangladesh. The company is also working at Chittagong Port as Container Terminal Operator.
