Samsung launches training project for students

Samsung Electronics Bangladesh has launched technical training project "ARISE (Advanced Repair and Industrial Skill Enhancement)" Saturday at the Dhaka Polytechnic Institute.
On this occasion the honorable Secretary of Ministry of Education, Nazrul Islam Khan was present as the Chief Guest accompanied by the Special Guest Lee Yun-Young, the ambassador of the Republic of Korea.  The Country Manager of Samsung Electronics Bangladesh Choon Soo Moon and Md. Shahjahan Mian, Director General, Directorate of Technical Education were also present at the event.
Under the "ARISE" project, the 75 final year students or students who have completed final year will be able to receive a free of cost six month long training to develop basic technical skills and personality development. The participants of this training will be selected by the Dhaka Polytechnic Institute.
Apart from providing free training, Samsung has also renovated the laboratory with the training material. The training will be provided with lecture and on the job assistance in three areas- Audio Visual (TV, Home Theater), Home Appliance (Refrigerator, Microwave Oven and Washing Machine) and Mobile Device.
Choon Soo Moon, Country Manager of Samsung Electronics Bangladesh said "We are really happy to provide these facilities for the students of Polytechnic Institute.
The main aim of our training programme is to build a talent pool of manpower for Bangladesh Service Industry as we believe this programme will enrich the talent of Bangladesh."
This training programme is the first initiative taken by Samsung Electronics Bangladesh under their Creating Shared Value (CSV) initiative, as a social responsibility drive to provide benefit to the students who have taken certain specified and government recognised technical courses.
