Mr. Amit Kumar has assumed as the Country Head of State Bank of India, Bangladesh Operations. He will replace Dr Prakash Chand Saboo who was handling affairs of SBI at BD since 2018. He has completed his tenure in Bangladesh and is being repatriated to India recently.

Mr. Kumar is a seasoned banker, bringing with him over 22 years of banking experience. He was presently posted as Chief Credit Officer at SBI, Mumbai Circle. In his career, he has held several roles in Corporate Credit, SME, Trade Finance and Industrial Finance. He served as head of TFCPC (Trade Finance Central Processing Centre) at Delhi, one of the largest trade finance cells in India.
