School banking campaign held in city

Dhaka Bank Limited carried out a school banking campaign at Rajuk Uttara Medel College in Dhaka recently. Emranul Huq, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, Anisul Hoque, Editor of Kishore Alo, Brigadier General Taef Ul Haq, Principal of the college, and others pose at the programme.


Dhaka Bank Limited carried out a school banking campaign at Rajuk Uttara Medel College in Dhaka recently, says a statement.
Emranul Huq, Managing Director & CEO of the bank, was present as special guest at the programme.
Anisul Hoque, Editor of Kishore Alo, was present as the chief guest and Md Mostaque Ahmed, Deputy Managing Director of Dhaka Bank, as a special guest.
The programme was presided over by Brigadier General Taef Ul Haq, Principal of Rajuk Uttara Model College.
Around 500 students of class six and seven participated in the campaign.
Dhaka Bank provides account facility backed by insurance coverage for the students up to 18 years old. The account has no fees or charges and provide higher rate of interest.
At the campaign, the guests have encouraged students to make a habit of saving money from their student life.
They also said that school banking teaches the students useful skills that will guide them in money management effectively.
This programme was introduced to familiarise school students with banking services and advance banking technology with a view to promoting financial inclusion of school-going students.
Dhaka Bank also gave prizes to 57 students who achieved 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in their school exams.
