Seminar on World Diabetes Day held

A seminar organised by Rotary International was held in Dhaka on Saturday on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi was present as the chief guest at the seminar.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi said if people are not aware, diabetes can take a terrible turn than corona. At present, one out of every 11 adults suffers from diabetes.
He was speaking as the chief guest at a seminar organised by Rotary International in Dhaka on Saturday on the occasion of World Diabetes Day. Rotary Governor M Rubaiyat Hossain presided over the seminar while former Governor Magfur Uddin Ahmed, Governor (Nominee) MA Wahab, President of Diabetic Society AK Azad Khan, Dr. Miza Mahbubul Hasan, Rotary leader Ishtiaq Chowdhury, Dr. Faiza Ela Kamal, Mansur Alam, Dr. Iqbal Karim and others were present, said a statement.
At the initiative of Rotary, a procession was taken out in the capital to create public awareness about diabetes and more than 500 ordinary people were tested for diabetes.
